After killing Jonny during a bout, Kid begins to remember the moments before the fatal blow that killed Jonny. Not only consumed by the guilt of killing another man, Kid’s feelings of shame are intensified by his repressed homosexuality. As Kid avoids his wife Sylvia, and turns his back on the profession that he loves, Kid’s thoughts are filled with memories of the fight.
